Wheel sizes

hey everybody

i've just bought a set of 14" wheels for my car,

i was looking at fitting a set of 185 50's or 55's to it,

will this have an effect on the reading of my speedo? if so by how much?

I bought some 14's for my k11 too, my original wheels are 155/70/13 5J, the tyres i put on mine are 165/60/14 for 5.5J wheels and the overall diameter is 1.2% bigger, so if your doing 60mph ur actual speed will be 60.7mph.

If your original wheels are 155/70/13 5J, then if you put 185/50/14 they will be 1.2% smaller on the overall diameter so if you was doing 60mph ur actual speed would be 59.28mph, and if you was to put 185/55/14 they will be 2.2% bigger on the overall diameter meaning if you was doing 60mph ur speed would be 61.3mph
