Just wondering what LSD fits into an SLX that could be picked up from a wrecker rather than having to import a JDM one?

» CMF MemberThe RS5F30A box never had a viscous option anywhere that I'm aware of and the chances of picking up an aftermarket LSD from a wrecker would have to be slim.
If you're buying from a wrecker, look for an RS5F31V box that was fitted to a GA16DE motor. (This has the GA / CG bell housing bolt pattern)
There were RS5F31V boxes fitted to Australian N13 with CA motors (and Holden motors with CA bell housing bolt pattern). To use one of these, you'd need to swap the bell housing half of the box with a RS5F31A that was fitted to a GA engine. Possibly the diff bearing is bigger on the viscous diff & the housing might need machining to suit.
