Need new tyres, almost had a blowout and was told it was because they were 10 years old. Bridgestone B391s... can't fault them but I've decided to replace the lot, 2 were getting low but 2 have 6mm or so left. I'm torn between b391s again (standard fitment), or uniroyal rainexperts (always chuckin it down here in the sticks). Anyone have any recommendations? I plan on buying from bestbuytyres.com too

Unless you are driving like a nuthead, you wouldn't need really, really special tyres...

I'd recommend Yokohama S Drive, though

(sorry if I make it even more complicated :):):))

thanks guys, opted for uniroyals in the end.. did find mytyres.co.uk had proxes for £42 a tyre but by the time I'd paid t fit em wouldn't look such a good price. Had a look for yoke s drives, couldn't find them in 165/60/14 though. Gotta love bestbuytyres if anyone needs tyres, ~£50 a pop for mine, and booked in for inclusive fitting on thursday (y)

I had those Uniroyal on my old car. Great handling on a wet surface... obviously the model range RainExpert was designed for it

best buy just emailed me after paying and the like to tell me i cant have them lol but now my minds made up i will have to try some other sites, starting at blackcircles! :(

blackcircles did the same, can't get uniroyals anywhere as they aren't making them any more in this size. Thinking either Goodyear Duragrip or Toyo 350s... so many conflicting reviews on tyres!

haha, waited for my refunds from all these cancelled orders; finally decided on Goodyear Duragrip.. £260 for 5, left it overnight t decide, woke up this morning, now £330 for 5!! so opted for 165/65 over 165/60 and they came down to £240! What a pollava. Advice to anyone looking for tyres, ring and check stock then haggle down the price.. </rant>
