Timing chain malarky

I have just bought my 3rd K11 and have noticed that the timing belt is noisy and the crankshaft pulley is squeaking. Should i:

a) leave it - loads of micras apparently last for ages with this problem.

b) replace the timing chain tensioner myself

c)Replace the timing chain myself

d)have it all replaced (this will be around 600 nuggets i have been quoted!!!)

Help me!

Leave it, if engine brakes, replace the entire engine!! Try and keep engine as heathy as possible with regular oil changes.

Can pick up 1.0l and 1.3l engines for peanuts.

yeah, but how hard is it to change the engine?

mine sounds pretty bad too, hence why i bought a good sound system for it :wasntme:

:k11motors

incidentally, i am stripping and tuning another K11 for club rallies (F1000 championship) and need to strengthen the chassis to avoid bending it - we (sorry, I) ruined the last one sideways on a big kerb at Weeton army camp. Any ideas on how to do this without piling on the pounds? otherwise I'm looking to weld something big and tubular to the front end somewhere.
