Throttle Body help

I have had my micra for 12 months now and has been great, but starting to have an issue, so I get on google for some research. Problem I am having is it starts fine, and idles perfectly, but when its cold and you apply throttle it doesn't pick up and eventually starts to drop revs, almost like choke isn't on. Then as it warms up it runs a little better but still hesitant and low on power. Also have a PO171 error but that only appears on long runs and i just reset it, not sure if two problems are connected.

I have read all about the throttle body issues these engines have, so my question is....does my problem sound like the throttle body needs repair, or should I look elsewhere?

yours will have the later bosch maf jon, there are a few threads on here
