Swapping an ECU

51 plate. Bosch Motronic ECU. 4 coils, blue chip.

What exactly will I need to swap?

Sorry for the blunt message super busy and faulty ECU following previous post!

Youll need the ecu, chip from the key and the reciever from around the barrel, have you bought anything yet i have my old ecu lying about?

Thank you very much guys. Bought nothing yet. Just gonna try a repair if not will need everything asap. I take it the immob box and ECU look for a common signal from key?

not sure how it works just know what to change, i have a 1,0L ecu just let me know if you want it

Seen others identical even one that is 501 but just hard to know what differences you might find!

I didnt check numbers to be honest i jyst fitted it and worked ok

I have a key ecu and reciever from barrel

PM me some pictures matey and if it will fit a 2001/2002 or at least a 4 coil 998 engine then happy days. Particularly the key I'm interested in seeing the chip. Does the receiver swap easy enough as most people sell with the barrel? Cheers.

Its just 1 8mm screw if i remember rightly mate
