sunroof won't close

as above, sister's micra. The sunroof got stuck from the slideback position as closing, her other half forced the handle and now it spins freely. Any ideas how to close it?

You'd probably have to remove the roof lining, if you cant get your hands on the glass and force it out. Sounds like its broken the mech, so you'd need to take it off anyway to fix it...if theres plans on fixing it

aye, from that position its geared, so I doubt I can beat the gearing with force.

Probably stuffed tbh without taking it all apart.

Not even sure how it looks underneath...so cant even suggest where to probe to reach the gearing.

Just pop the door rubbers at the top off and around the sun roof

Should allow you to peel back and look inside

Sometimes the mechanism/runner hinges build up with rust and slamm shut

Happened on the mg zr although half a can of wd40 and some push up down left and right freed it up

Check the bit that flaps up at the front, I had one jam on a friends yesterday and you could force it most of the way closed but it was catching on the flap bit lol
