Stripping/scrapping a car?

Hey guys,

Am stripping my polo before it gets collected for scrap, does anyone know if I can get in trouble for leaving it by the side of the road without lights etc?

I say side of the road, it's a parking space in a layby sorta bit owned by the local council?

with my previous car i had a suzuki alto. and i had to do the same except it was outside a factory. All i had to do was inform the police that the vehicle was there and i was waiting on scrappy to collect it. This way if anything happens to it or the police go and take a nose youll be fine

and it might be worth phoning the council to and tell them the same
