Stiff gas pedal. How to fix?

I recently bought 7-year-old Micra K11 GX. Although the car was in very good conditions, the gas pedal was stiff and difficult to control. As a result, i stalled quite frequently.

Could anyone please tell what the problem is and how to fix it?

Would more than likely be stiff due to the throttle body lever.

The accelerator is connected to the throttle body, underneath the airbox in the engine bay, it may be ceased/rusty for whatever reason. You can feel it underneath the airbox. Follow the throttle cable. It goes over the engine! underneath the air box.

Hope that makes sense!

Could just do with a little WD40 or equivalent! Have a look at it to see if this is stiff, it should be easily movable with 1 finger!

more than likely the cable is at fault. disconnect it from said throttle body and see if it's still stiff. replace or lube if required.
