stand alone ecu's

hi all,

im after a bit of advice. im looking for a stand alone ecu, but there seem to be quite a few about and i dont really know what im looking for. it has to be reasonably priced and easy for the ammature diy'r to get his head round, any suggestions?

hia mate,
i dont really know much about other ecus as i only have expirience of the efi hardwear one that i am using. but i would suggest reading loads of books on the subject. i could reccomened a couple if you like.
what is your budget? and by the sounds of it from what ed and others say if depends on what setup you want to run?

its just for an n/a engine nothing special more of a learning curve more than anything, as for budget, not really sure not mega bucks but i no that you cant pick one up for a tenner.

fair play, i am really enjoying sorting mine out (ups and downs of cause). I got mine for £100, seems to do eveything that i need but is quite old, and if i were to want some pro help with it im not sure who works with them.
