spraying

well I'm in the middle of my first attempt at spraying plastic(wanted to body colour my boot and door handles). and it aint really going to well. think I'm gonna need a new boot handle by the time I'm finished. if anyone got any tips on spraying plastic they would be much appreciated would seem I'm not cut out for the job.

Sand, prime, sand, paint then
optional sand, and laqure it.

Sand using wet and dry, somethin like 1200 grit. Just to rough up the surface so the paint will stick to the plastic

finished now waiting for it to dry. cheers for tips guys its ended better than i was expecting lol. what dyas think?

Also, give the whole bit a really good clean with alcohol on a cloth. The plastic will be covered in mould-release agents and other stuff that will interfere with paint sticking. I use isopropyl alcohol - you can get a 500ml can from Maplin for about 9 quid:).
