most VHT paint is rated to 700degc, that exhaust shield will be a nats pupe away from a turbo at well aproaching 1000degc.

dont think its gonna last long my self...

and ive just noticed...... super turbo engine bays are.....Crammed.

ps, squarepants? how in the hell did you manage to get 53 more posts than me... i reply to everything???

high temp never lasts long anyway, i did my back box and manifold with it..flaked off after a few month, dont know why :S

the only thing its lasted on is the engine block and head!

Turbo's do not get 1000 deg c. Quite often they are about 700 or so, and the exhaust gas upto around 800-900 ish give or take.

Well I hate to burst your bubble lads but warrens is the same and his is on the last 4 weeks and its still spot on!

heat shield

yeah mine are grand i drove up to northern ireland on saturday and i sat at 180km for about a half an hour and when i got to where i was goin i opened the bonet and the black shield was even glowing red haha but no paint flaked off it or nothing so im happy with my job, baz dont forget to put a pic up of the painted roker cover i did for you aswel when you put it on the car!!
