Speaker wire.

Right I have a question. Can the wire effect what comes out of the speakers? Currently my 6x9s are running off this through an amp and there is hardly any bass or sound coming from them. Or have I just got crap speakers.
I'm debating weather to buy new vibe 6x9s or just get new wire

Speaker cable does affect the sound quality but not to the extent you describe, are you sure it's all connected up right, and have you had a play with the amp settings etc(Y)

For home hi-fi it makes a massive difference (though some of the prices are staggering). So Im sure that it will be some sort of difference in car stuff.

it does but you would first need a decent head unit.
then adjust all the lovely Bass Mid and Treble settings on your head unit the Fade from front to back etc etc.

As Shaun said, and also make sure the + and - are the same for each speaker.
Also on the amplifier itself, there are normally a few dials so have a play around with them.
