Someone post a DIY stealth shelf guide?

Tools e.g. Jigsaw... cut the shape... and how to fix it in place or make it so it lifts with the boot... thanks

Im good with DIY but dont know what else I need... shall I take the plastic bits out the side of my old shelf... which snap onto and sit in the grooves on the sides... so the shelf can pivot...

Or do I remove them and add something of my own?
