Hi all,

First time on here.

Ive got a 3 year old micra se from new and have noticed that the front electric windows are scratched / scored badly, service manager said it was due to grip/dirt in the rubbers, not convinced think he is fobbing me off.

Any thoughts.

Also seen threads on here about window rattles which mine does, also told nothing can be done yet, as nissan are aware and looking into it, is this true, is there a connection with the two.

Any advice welcome as service manager is calling on Tuesday and I would like to be armed with all the information I can get.

Cheers

The scratches on the windows is just because of dirt in the window rubber... it gets scratched when you wind them up or down because of it. mine are the same, they really stand out in the sunlight. But I think you can get glass abbrasive to get the scratches out/ or looking a bit better.

I cannot see that dirt/grit can do this, Ive had many a car new and used and never had windows appear this bad.

It is grit that does this, streaks could not happen in any other way.
