Rear seat belt not working?

Hia guys, iv taken my rear seatbelt out of my '97 white slx, and now it won't let me pull the belt out of the reel... It's like its gone into lock down? Anyone know why and how to get it working again?

I had this a short while ago, angling it at the correct angle might work, failing that I removed the cover on the side so I could see how it worked, and managed to release my belt by holding a small screwdriver on the pawl (I think) has worked fine since. A small flat-bade worked on the 3 pointed screwheads too.

I had this to It only works at an angle. Mount it back in and it will work

Iv tried mounting it back in :S no luck, still solid. bloody thing. il have a look at taking the cover off when i get a chance. thanks for the help guys!

Sounds like it's retracted too far, done it loads when removing belts
When you take the side cover off there will be a little piece of metal sticking out when you lift it, it will unlock the mechanism releasing the belt
It's hard to explain but you'll see it
