rattle/ticking engine noise coming from micra mini. helpppp

hi all
i have this noise coming from what sounds to be the timing chain side of the engine towards the top. i think
i have taken all auxiliarys off to rule them out. i have taken the rocker cover off pourd oil over all moving parts to rule out lack of oil. and to check tension of timing chain but i dont really know what im looking for there. so is there something i could check, i could take the plate off the side. i hope its not engine out job because thats a mission
what could this be could it be chain tensioner.
as you see its in a mini so stuff isnt very accessible.

Sounds like the chain imo I'd check the tensioner and replace if necessary.
It's a common noise on start up.

i was thinking that i will take it out later is it just two bolts hold it in.

i have it apart what signs are there that it could be damaged or not working

ok i have has the top tensioner apart i have got another one from down the scrappy they both look identical nothing bent spring length the same holes arnt blocked can blow air through still have that sound what else could it be

Do you know if the cam chain has ever been changed?

i doubt it but its a low millage engine so it would surprise me if it had. the tensioner was barely worn

Hmm no idea after that... from your video I'd deffo say it was something to do with the chain.

i might just have to replace the chain then can you get a kit can you you replace just the top

I think it's all or nothing unless you can find a top chain separate ???

do you know how the timing chain tensioner works does it use oil pressure as well as a spring to keep the chain tight or is it just the spring
