quick question for bike carbs

carbs will be on soon just wondered if anyone knows about the vacuum slides. do the they need a vacuum line fitting to them? or do they just operate of pressure or vacuum in the in the carb its self? its bugging me cause i dont want to fit them and the choke the air flow at high revs sorry if this sounds stupid but i know jack all about bikes lol.

i think the carbs with the vacuum slide and butterfly are variable venturi, which give a degree of acceleration enrichment and a more precise a/f/r

you will need one for the brake servo and dizzy advance eh
