Problem with dipped beam

Maybe I shouldn't be asking this, since it's for the car that my daughter put a dent in my hot rod with, but here goes...

Anyone know where the dip module is located on a '93 Micra.?

I've got main and dip on the offside light but only main on the nearside one.

The fusible link next to the nearside light is showing a strong 12 volts, but the wire going to the dip side of the headlamp is only showng 5-7 Volts.

If I jump from the fuse to the dip side of the the bulb holder I get a dipped beam.

The manual says that the wire goes from the fusible link into the dip module,so I guess that is where the problem lies (corroded terminals?).
But can I find anything on the car with enough wires going into it?...

Not a chance....

Where is the damn thing located?

Cheers

Steve

Normally the light control box isn't at fault.
Check the connections on the headlamp bulbs for signs of corrosion and/or overheating, melting or shorting out.
Then check the fuse to the headlamps located in the fuse box in front of the battery. Again they are prone to melting and shorting out.
If you find the fuse box has melted the quick fix is to put an inline fuse in.
Light controller is either on the bulkhead or under the dash.
