power steering

Me again
Ive just noticed when giving my daughter a driving lesson in her micra
That when I turn the steering left to right while stationary
The engine revs fluctuate...
Is something wrong ??

That's normal cos the PAS system detected extra load and the ecu raises idle to prevent stalling

check the idle control valve on the other car ain't sticking.
ecu should tell the IACV to idle up whenever additional load is triggered from the PAS, lights, heater fan and neutral switch
