I'm adding some new gauges to my K11 (Rev & Volt) which I only want to be on when the ignition is. Where is the best place to tap into the wiring?

I've half got plans of coming off the power for the stereo, as that only comes on when the ignition is up. Is this advisable?

Yeah, but the rev counter will not be on if the engine isn't anyway, stereo power is the best, I think that the cig lighter is ignition only as well

The cigarette lighter feed is useful as it only comes on with the key's turned to 'aux' and beyond.
