anyone able to get hold of the old style postert sideskirts? there were some in england i know that because i have seen photos of micras in england with them, so they must be somewhere, someone must have them, i just need to borrow some for a bit.

anyone able to help?

they look like this:

and they are impossible to find, i have been looking for them since 2008! i tried to buy some from the manufacture but they destroyed the moulds for the kit....

I don't think it will be that easy. your asking a big big company to make a mould for a very select few... in comparison to a company dealing with saxo etc...

true, someone who has them take them off and make moulds :p it's just trying to find someone with them who's willing, and that is horrible, what are those lights all about?

i have found a few people who still have these full kits, but communication can be slow at the best of times... either way if i want this kit it looks like its going to cost me a lot

haha true dat :p i'm not looking to get one, too much monies, but they do look quite nice but then again :p i do prefer th K11 with just the smooth side, keep t smooth and low (Y)

only with the right wheel stance imo nex, if they,re cambered, very very close and low maybe, else it,ll look gash nowadays

i seem to remember you smoothing your bumpers on the blue car :p i think that counts as an aesthetic enhancement..

i think you are right about the arches, not spacing the wheels for example is pretty pointless

yeh, a polo is just a shopping car like a k11, but look at the cred that they have now from the smoothing/euro-ing that the dubbers do
if we,re gonna drive around with gash sideskirts and ugly great splitters dragging on the floor like a late 90,s F & F car, we deserve to get the pi## took out of us :p

the 90s were over a decade ago ;) time for a retro come back lol

It's all relative really and very much in the eye of the beholder.

Me, I can't stand bodykits, large spoilers, cars slammed to the deck ricer style and I find cars that have wide rims and tyres stretched over them to the point that they are running on their sidewalls utterly laughable. It seems to be the in thing but something I will not do.......at least try not to, (will be running a 13x7 with a 175/50 semi slick), but only because I want to option to run a 194/45 road tyre and not have to have 2 sets of wheels and looking at the mini forums they aren't really stretched as such. If they are I will need to eat a hat! ;)

^agree with mark. Saw an Escort cosworth and an Astra GTE both unmoddified the other day, 10years ago I wouldn't give them a second look, today though

I see a couple of peugeot 205 gti's that look to be unmolested, seen a mk1/2 golf the other day as well that was standard

Less is definitely more

how about the Postert kit i posted up at the top there? i think that is about as subtle as you can get with a bodykit, i bet most people wouldn't notice the difference apart from the side skirts

That body kit isn't too bad Nex, but I think it would only look right with certain combinations of colour, wheels, other body modifications, etc. For example, I reckon that body kit would look awesome if you teamed it with a set of deep dish alloys (maybe a set of Compomotives, Superlites, or anything with a lot of dish - spaced out with streteched tyres and no negative camber), lowered it (but not a stupid amount), and completely smoothed the bodywork - front and rear bumpers, flush side repeaters, open mouth grill, de-bumpstripped, and smooth tailgate. Reckon that would look good without being too over the top

But what I think is quite creative is modifiying other cars bumpers/fronts to fit.

That one is way too over the top Matt . Just looks like they've gone into Halfords, slapped a wodge of cash on the counter, and said "I'll take the lot." Way too chavvy. Not too sure about tailoring other bumpers to fit either, looks a bit weird fwn

How can the driver even see out of the back? I would be so tempted to walk past it and start putting things on it - books, ornaments, a clock, etc

lmao it would be awesome to glue a bunch of trinkets to it, the kinda crap your gran has like little china dogs etc lol

Carriage clock and a framed photo of the family . And looking at it closer, it looks like they've made it themselves

lol well at least it will provide some much needed down force!

I bet it's only a 1.0l with no other engine mods . And yeah, because you need as much downforce as you can possible get at the rear end of the car with FRONT WHEEL DRIVE :laugh:. It must steer like a disorientated cow

Whoever decided a spoiler like that would be good on a Micra is a fooligan

you never know, it could be mid engine 2 ltr turbo!

That's a lidicrous ugly car, nasty doesn't even come close, things like that should get one a public flogging lol.

I distinctly remember a drive to Donny Show one year. Ed and I were convoying up in my K11 and his ST, we came across a group of cars 1/2 way up the M1, one of which was a modified VW Passat with a monsterous aluminium adjustable spoiler on the back, the very same kind you find on the back of some time attack cars. Anyway, this one was wider than the car, we proceeded to pass and as we did he dropped a few cogs and booted it, the car didn't even move, it made one heck of a racket but was totally and utterly gutless......driver wasn't best pleased neither

Ed and I were on walkie talkies and I think we pretty much laughed most of the remaining way there ;)

all show no go

That's s saxo kit ain't it?

That's what I thought, it's a popular saxo kit anyway. Been modified to fit, as arches dont match up.
I didn't post the pic up for people to make fun of btw, just as a massive contrast to the Postert kit. It could very well be someones on here, and whoevers it is has put a lot of effort into it, just a shame they have bad taste, ha.

oh i thought you were talking about the postert kit. yea i knew that one was from a saxo

Advertise a postert kit but seem to have any on the site? Maybe email them they may be able to help

thanks for that, i actually bought the side skirts directly from them back in 2008, it cost me £300 to have them made and then shipped from Germany, but it was the only way. after about two months they arrived, and they were the wrong ones. i called them up and asked what is going on, and they said the the molds for the one i want have been destroyed, so i sent them back and got my money back, but it ment no more postert side skirts are being made, which is why i am so desperate to find a copy before they get lost forever
