Penetrating fluid

I decided to repair the return spring on the gear lever so had to remove the heat shield. I had had a look at the bolts a few days ago and they didnt look to clever.
I did a search for "best penetrating fluid" and what came up was a bit of a surprise. A lot of people recommend 50 - 50 acetone/ auto transmission fluid, the acetone has to be 100% acetone and not the stuff 'er in doors uses for removing nail varnish.
I gave the bolts a good wire brush and a squirt of the magic mix, left for 30 mins and had a go at undoing.
It worked fine, bolts were smooth to undo and considering how rusty the heads were they came free surprisingly well.
So it worked, but im not sure how you can measure how good it was compared to other penetrating oils, people have on youtube and they say it needs less torque to undo them so I leave it to you to decide.
But, I thought I would share this with you all.
