Overheating brakes

Hi guys, been for a drive today and after a while on some country lanes started to smell burning, pulled up and a little bit of smoke from the front wheels as well as being really warm on the wheel trim.
Only just fitted some ebc optimax pads, but still standard discs.
How to I go about reducing/ eliminating this without big modifications?
Cheers

the pistons were catching the outer ring inside the caliper on mine nath, the same happened on a friends k11 that started to overheat after new pads were fitted

yes the piston was sticking mate, you need to find where the brakes are binding first, the guide pins seize up sometimes

Just didn't seem to be binding as it was only with heavy use and cooled down afterwards, anyway, if I strip the calipers down what do I need to be looking at then, the sliders and that first to and then the piston if that's all good?

I run the ebc ultimax black pads in the rally car, and when bedding them in they will smoke a lot when bedding in. After that they are fine.
