My car won't do more than 70mph and I suspect a blocked cat has any one experienced this what are common symptoms also the emissions are really high it only just passed last week on its MOT

Symptoms of a blocked cat is generally it wont rev.

But since UK speed limit is 70mph max, there shouldn't be a problem then

No can still rev it right up stationary it just struggles to get up to speed and then when it get to 65-70 won't go any quicker and sounds like its going to explode lol

My cat failed horribly. Symptoms are a terrible smell in the cabin (the sprung expansion joint pops open under the pressure) and the feeling you're dragging a huge cartoon anchor behind you .

I think it might be the original so 12 years and 155,000 miles lol, i don't have any clutch burning smells though
