Nistune or not nistune that's the question!!

Evening peeps some advice if you please ! I have a built engine that we use on the ovals ( racing ) and wondered if a nistune ecu would be worth using ??
At the moment we use a pre nats ecu which works well but have acquired a nistune type 4 board and would have thought it may run a tad better with the nistune. Also how could I go about mapping it suitable for the engine build ? Is it maybe possible do do it myself lol.
The build is :
1 litre pistons / rods
Skimmed head
Lightened fly
Lightened pulleys
Autosprint inlet cam ( frank knows specs)
Piper exhaust cam ( frank knows lol )
Ga16 injectors
Ga16 t/b
Frankspeed ex mani
Any input appreciated thanks

I've nistune in my cg13de powered mini, definitely worth it I think, compared to standalone ecus it's cheap but highly functional.
Yes it would be possible to tune it yourself, you can buy the software, initially perhaps get it Dyno tuned to get a good starting point.
A wideband O2 sensor might be worthwhile if you want to tune it yourself.
I remember the guy who tuned mine saying there wasn't really any part of the fuel map he didn't adjust so it seems it was not very ideal.

I presume that's the standard ECU map before the Nistune has been activated? Guessing the gains are fairly minor? but the finishing touch

Yeah so I had added ga15 injectors and throttle body and adjusted K constant? For the new injectors but using the stock fuel map. Nistune board was fitted but not tuned so effectively running stock timing and fuel.
I think the k constant got changed back as it wasn't getting the fueling correct, so fueling may be close on your ga16 injectors already but the map could be less than ideal. You've much more changes than me so probably more to gain as well.
Here's the result on 98.

Other mods, extractors and a custom inlet manifold that fits in a mini.

yes mine was remapped on the dyno by Nistune specialist Ed at Fusion Motorsport in Surrey.
I highly recommend you contact him, very experienced & knowledgable lad.

I only have the bare basic knowledge of nistune just enough to fine tune the turbo map parameters over the years. doing the actual remapping takes alot of skill & experience (therefore worth educating ourselves before venturing on) cos serious mistakes could be permenantly damaging.

Ed mapped our rally car using Nistune, he did a great job the mapping is very good and he is very knowledgeable about Nissan's and the Nistune system. Also the rolling road he uses (Surrey RR) seems to be quite accurate unlikely some more 'optimistic' ones....
