new engine for a k11?...... just an idea

what i've been thinking about recently is a hr16de powered k11

i think it would be an excellent idea, one i might indulge in when i'm done with my k12.

basically i was thinking this: hr16de is a light engine with mucho torque more than the other 1.6 engines. so my thinking was a this engine in a k11 weighing 800kgs or so with full whiteline set up.

the result being a car that should mop the floor with all the competion before the engine is modded, including the saxo vts as the micra will have more torque and be about 100kgs lighter.

what does everyone else think?

obviously a good idea!

but good luck getting a hr16 engine-lol plus lots of mods as engine is opposite way round etc

it's a very interesting idea,

if i had the cash i'd buy a 1.0 k11 and chuck a 1.3 firebird motorbike engine in the back.

half the weight, 6 gears, 17000RPM readline, 260BHP potental N/A

if you could chop enough of the micra out to get it to the same weight as a motorbike then it would be one fast mofo
