mulholland new adjustable cam gears

Hey guys,

Importmonster got back to me regarding mullholland's cam gears and they'll cost 330 aud delivered to me. I haven't bought yet as that seems a bit pricey yeh?

its the going rate eh, but they,re just copy sprockets but with a series of repositioned holes iirc.
how about offset dowels pierce ? (i think ssuk used ford ones ?)

thats what my engine builder wanted to use offset dowels

i usually position the idler 1 tooth advanced on my partworn rebuilds, because the idler has sprockets of 23 and 36 teeth, and a 1 tooth shift in the 36 sprocket, results in roughly half a tooth shift in the cam sprockets.
as you can see if you line up the dot at 12 o,clock here (it lies in-between 2 teeth in the bigger sprocket)

and then if you shift to the next tooth, it lines up tooth to tooth
this will roughly compensate for the average chain wear, so any further adjustments are very minor
