My shogun tank is 90litres. Typically costs about £130 to fill up.... if careful that will do 500 miles...

Same to my BMW I haven't drive yet but I hope that I will work out on mpg nicely.

Petrol prices at the moment are around £1.37 a litre. !!! rip rip well i'm geting 50mpg !!!. Here's how i do it.

1, tyre pressure 36psi all round - regular service easily done myself.
2, Drive like a grandad
3, quickly get in to a high gear as possible so by 30mph i'm in 5th gear
4, extremely slow acceleration
5, coast anywhere and everywhere. i.e approaching lights / going downhill
6, stuck in traffic going downhill i will stick it in neutral and let it roll
7, just chill and enjoy the views around you, let others overtake at stupid speeds. HA HA They are burning the petrol not me !!!

I thought it was best to leave car jn gear when going downhill as it keeps the engine ticking over?

I average 43 which is fine for me. Economical enough yet still a little fun. Highest was 47 on motorways.

I've tried it in gear, this kicks in engine breaking and the revs are above idle so more fuel burning. I don't really go on motorways with the micra, it's just used for city / town driving. Going to work and back, it's bullet proof love the soldier.

One thing i do every 6 months or so is to take the wheels off and grease up brake calipers and give them a good clean up all round.
