Motorway Performance

I live in the UK here, I use my Micra a lot for motorway driving.

It sometimes struggles at power at the 90mph mark, but otherwise it's fine, and fine at 90mph.

I can usually cruise in the right-hand lane of the motorway overtaking most traffic, and I mostly drive at a similar pace with Audis being driven quickly. I've also driven it to Droitwich, and am planning to take it to London.

I think the reputation of Micras being slow is really erroneous.

What about you guys? Any stories to share on motorway performance?

From my experiences with a 1.0, higher speeds were achievable given time.

With a 1.3 on a 1.0 box those speeds were easily achievable however I wasn't happy sitting at very high revs to maintain it. Fuel, wear and tear, noise, bump steer, traffic cops etc

But generally, I find averaging just 70mph is the best. You're only going to save a few minutes speeding :)

I tend to cruise between 55 and 65, keeps my mpg ridiculous :p
(Currently 68mpg)

Of course with my dci I have the torque for easier overtaking, something my 1.0 k11 did struggle with sometimes ^_^

My k10 never got past 56, foot to the floor, downhill, with a run up LOL :p
