Yeh they are most likely a little bit different to the usual generic spacers you can buy off the shelf in autobarn, etc.

Yeah I would much prefer to have proper wider suspension - agree with mighty.

The Japanese guys I spoke to at the meet last year in Kanagawa all said it makes the car drive terribly on the steer. Steering goes very tight etc. But its good on the race track just because of the wider track advantages.. But they don't like it on street cars. I would never do it. Its like so many other hack job modifications that ruin the quality of your car.

The XR6T's "spacers" are actually well thought out...

The thing that most generic spacers don't have is the lip around the inner radius. Contrary to VERY popular belief, the weight of the car is only partially supported on the studs but most of the substantial weight is actually bared through this lip.

Coupled with the fact that spacers don't have this lip, create uneven tire wear (on the street), put much more stress on your stub axles and also put at risk the longevity of your CV's and tie ends I'll stick to stocko's or fork out a bit more for the correct offset wheels
