misfiring and cannot introduce revs?

hello all i have abit of a dilema,
my 1.3 supers idles but will not allow revs to be introduced without misfiring and random revs even with the throttle held at the same position, unplugged the idle sensor and no difference there?
was just wondering if its a common thing and what the solution is to also fixing it

also what does the speed sensor do?

So it idles without a misfire? Double check by pulling each ht lead out seperatly when idling and listen for a drop in engine noise each time. If theres a drop each time then it could be throttle body/lambda or something else. A video might help?
