micra wont start any help appreciated

I have a k11 year 2000 micra.. I bought it and it stopped driving having trouble running then it stopped running completely car swinging over perfect but no starting. petrol pump is working and fuel is going as far as the rail, took rail out and cleaned it and still no good. if I pour petrol down the air intake the car will run but will not start otherwise. no fuses seem to be gone. changed the distributor and still no good spark coming from spark plugs?

Hi, you are going to have to methodically work through every possible cause, are you getting a spark at the plugs, are the plugs wet with fuel? Is the engine management light on ?
