micra will not start after moving a few meters

Hi all,

My 1998 nissan micra will not start again after moving the car just a few meters. The engine was cold when i moved it a few meters, stopped the engine and now it will not restart again. The starter is operating fine and the engine wants to turn over but it just will not start. I have had this problem before. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

sounds like the crankshaft/flywheel sensor has given up the ghost!

This is a fairly common problem.If you start the engine and only intend to move it a short distance,let it run for a while and then turn it off. A couple of minutes should be fine. The reason is the engine tends to be overchoked when starting from cold. Hope this is of some help.
