Morning all,

First post - just thought I better say hello.

Picked up my 2003 black 1.2sx K12 on Saturday - loving it.

Significantly, it's the first car in 15 years I've actually owned outright and have no finance on. I've had a couple of Micra's before - but had not driven once since December 22nd 1996 due to black ice, ditch on country road etc - near Bedford - Super S totalled. At least I never died like the woman in the Cavalier 500 yds further up the road - unfortunately for her the ditch on the opposite side of the road had a 12 foot drop.

I'm rambling.

Car history

- Red K11 1.0 L
- White K11 1.3 Super S
- 2 Blue Company Car Escorts (utter *****)
- Blue Suzuki Baleno 1.6 GS Sport (1995)
- Red Nissan 200 SX (1996)
- Silver/Black Mini Cooper
- Red/White Mini Cooper S
- Black Impreza WRX (MY05)
- and now a K12!

Initial plus's:

- nicer interior, nicer stereo, possibly smaller steering wheel, more gadgets than WRX
- improved brake feel
- £550 a month more in my pocket (between finance, fuel, insurance and tax - think of it as a £9k pay rise and it's easier to live with!)

Initial negative's:

- slight deficit of bhp!
- bit more roll in the corners
- jiggles a bit on the motorway and noisy above 65 mph

Overall, I don't think I could have downsized to anything better for the price - it's just a great wee car full stop.

Better get back to work!

DBB.

morning... welcome to MSC

another K12, ooo its getting bigger now

Impreza to a K12. interesting...

got any pics, any mods planned?

To be honest I wasn't planning on any mods...

I had put on stainless steel Prodrive rear section (just for the not-too-noisy-but-still-there trademark rumble) on the WRX but at the moment I don't know enough about what's available for the K12.

I'm with Admiral and their premium loads for mods seem really reasonable.

The sounds in the SX are night and day better than the ***** standard Subaru stuff - so that's not super urgent. Some slight tints might look nice, and some springs to stop it rolly-pollying into the corners (our town is full of roundabouts).

Maybe?

Any recommendations?
