malfunction indicator light

hi i was out in the car last night when i noticed this light was on. i have put my code reader on the car and it is giving me a error code po171 which the book says system too lean bank 1 . the car runs ok but seems a little rough on start up.im just a little bit worried as i am going on holiday on monday and i need the car to get to the airport any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

The light was stuck on?

Could it be a ground/.shorting issue

will have to look into it when i get back off holiday any one else with any ideas?.

I think he means that his engine warning light is on guys, not that the indicator is malfunctioning.

system too lean bank 1 means that the front o2 sensor is out of parameters, if driven like this it could eventually break up the cat
