maf

has anyone tried putting a differnt maf on hose of a nissan different model?
does it work?
because ours cg13 and others have the maf bolt on we could just unplugg it and plug to another one
so to save money and get rid of micra maf

does the MAF need to be on the TB , I have seen cars with it on the air supply hose a couple of feet away from the TB , I ge the impression as long as the diameter of the hose is correct at the MAF mounting point it should be ok ????? . It would make sense for making them last longer , cooler , less vibration etc .

but these one have the air filter away from throttle body
