I have just acquired a 1996 Micra 1.3 SLX, (to replace my deceased 1994 Micra 1.3 LX) I was told on purchasing that the radio doesn't work (it was a Clarion head unit) it liked chewing tapes, and on the left side, sound would only emit from the A pillar tweeter.
I've replaced this now with a Goodmans CD player, which obviously has solved the tape chewing issue... but still, only sound from the tweeter on the left, and I'm pretty sure that this is a lot more distorted than what is coming from the tweeter on the right.
I have removed the door card and had a look at the speaker, but there seems to be nothing physically wrong with it... I'm thinking crossover, but I have no idea where this would be located.
Any help would be really appreciated, I do a lot of long distance driving and its quite frustrating not having my left side speakers working properly!
