Limp Mode

Hi I have a K12 1.0 petrol model and when driving along if I switch the headlights on it goes into limp mode, any ideas?

Turning the headlights on means they are drawing current from the battery, sounds like a battery or alternator issue.

That's what i thought but it doesn't do it if I put the wipers on

wrong bulb in the rear light usually, the ecu senses the brakelights and throttle on at the same time
and it pulls the drive-by-wire throttle back

My son replaced the reversing light bulb before this started, I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow

All cured, he had but the wrong bulb in the stop/tail light. Big thanks to Frank, I would never have thought of looking at the rear lights
