hi all ,i own a 04 1ltr se 5 door micra k12 ,i was driving when all of a sudden i lost the revs and the engine went into limp mode ,also the engine warning light came on and i pulled over ,checked under the bonet and water and oil was fine ,let cool down for 5 mins and car was normal again and drove home ,but the warning light is still on what could it be any ideas .

Hi huey, best idea get a diagnostic reader and get the codes from the engine. You can pick them up on ebay pretty cheap.

p0335 crankshaft position senser ,does this mean the timing chain has wear ,as ive checked all over the internet and things don't look good .

you need to measure the tensioner extension to be sure huey

got error code p0335 crankshaft sensor ,does this mean the timing chain maybe stretched ,ive cleared the code for now ,i will wait to see if it comes back ,not getting my hopes up on this 1 .
