Why so cheap when my mate just paid £250ish for a 22" widescreen, his has DVI input and this has VGA, big price difference just for that

that is a very good price! most of the time the pricing isnt based on specs but the brand. has your mate got a good make?

Acer is Taiwanese, which also means part of China (debatible), so its your call :blush:

oh and i forgot to add, for £250 i hope his TFT can also act as a TV as well otherwise hes paying over the odds.

i bought my Samsung 21 inch HD ready LCD TV (also act as pc monitor) for £229.

It's a Samsung, not a TV as their resolutions aren't great compared to an LCD meant for a PC, his resolution 1620x1050 compared to the lower ones a TV handles.
