PC soundcard recommendations

Following on from my SPDIF thread can anyone recommend a no frills cheap sound card that will do at least 5.1 ouput and has an SPDIF optical input?

Mate won't pay alot, doesn't want EAX or any of those fancy things, just something to use his current 5.1 speakers

just a very quick look around it seems sound cards with a SPDIF input are very rare, you might need to buy a soundcard and then something like this:

im not an expert so i dont know which sound cards will work with this kind of thing.

The Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum or Platinum eX has what you want, should be cheap on Ebay too
