knocking noise - bushes?

Hi all,
I am getting a knocking noise from the drivers front wheel arch area. I have put new shockers on so it's not thet. It is only obvious when going over rough surfaces and I'm sure it's suspension bushes. My query's are:-

- How many bushes are there?
- where is a good place to buy them from?
- are they easy to fit yourself?

my money would be on the bottom balljoint steve (hard to detect when jacked up)

think i have the same problem as you steve knocks if ya hit the smallest pot hole ..lol.. ( i can feel mine knock frank when i pull the wheel at the top mate ) there about £12 steve from euro car parts not done mine yet .......

yes andy, thats the best way to test them eh (the same way the mot tester checks them)

Ball joints always look so easy with the splitter but I've never done one before. I presume there will be other bushes on the suspension arms that are in need of replacing. Does anyone know of any kits that can be bought that have them all in, this would save buying them all seperately.

did ya get this sorted micrasteve? says in the book that they are integral with the lower arm is this true as i have never done it either mate, although i have to replace the nearside drop link sometime this week as that as snapped
