I have a Micra 1.5 sx (2004) and I the other day I turned the aircon on and its making a quiet whining noise when on (like a small vacuum). It produced cool air, but the noise was irritating so I turned it off. When I turned it on again later in the day, it just made the whining noise and no cold air came out of the fans. I can only seem to hear the noise when sitting in the car as there is no changes in noise when listening near the engine.
Can anyone suggest whats wrong?
