Ok heres the story, last night my headlight went on fire! pulled it out and the unit that plugs into the light was wrecked, so today i got a plug unit from a nissan cherry wired it up and now doesnt work, my other unit on the other side had the same problem a while back and i just used a corsa unit and it worked fine! the light was working fine when i pulled the burning unit out any one have any ideas?

By "unit" do you mean the connector block bit? With the 3 wires?

If so i think you have either wired it wrong or the bulb is shot...

Fuse? Relay? they are the only two components in the loom i think, maybe some burnt out wiring further down, apart from those things i cant see it being anything else

if the thing was on fire chances are some wires have been or still are shorted out, so the fuse might have gone, plus check the dim dip unit on the passanger side inner wing.

Got it sorted today, all the headlight wires where frazzled, so a my local garage rewired the both headlights for £20 with 2 new bulbs :D annother amazing bargain lol
