Induction kit air filter (advice please)

Any one fitted one of these on a 98 micra k11 ?

I want a roar to the engine without having to put a new exhaust system on..
The chrome trim looks good but no roar..

So.. will a Induction kit air filter give that roar ?

and can a novice like me fit one without to much fuss ?

yes an induction kit will give you a roar and yes a novice could fit one
