k&n induction kit or k&n air filter

hi peeps, I would like to fit an induction kit to my 1993 k11 988cc 16 valve, please can someone give me some advice on fitting please or if I would be just be better replacing my stock filter with a k&n filter. any help will be much appreciated. thanks.
