If I cut my Nissan Micra K11 springs will it fail the MOT?

Really want to slam my micra but am I better of saving and buying new coil overs/springs which I'd need a deep pocket for or can I cut them down? But if I cut them will it fail the MOT? HELP!!!!!
 
Don't just cut the spring, makes the ride intollerable and you'll just end up scrapping the car...
 
Ive got karls old rear cut spring setup on mine.
Rides better than my 35mm lowering springs if im honest... id never run cut front springs tho.
 
Cause I can buy the full set up on ebay for around £199.95 for all four. they only drop 35mm but my suspension is f*cked and need new ASAP and I'm thinking of rallying it/ autotest
 
Cut springs are ok. My fronts are cut... and ride just fine. But I wouldn't call them a proper solution still. There's also a method in that madness too. They must also remain captive to pass an mot..

Rally will require a deep pocket I'm afraid.
A cheapo coilover set and correct springs are £250. They should see you right for all situations tarmac rally, autotest, autosolo. Except forest rally you're looking around £1k
