idling high when hot :(

Hi folks I have recently purchased an 02 plate micra tempest for my first car and really love it . I dont have a great deal of mechanical knowledge but will give things a bash to save cash as im a student at the moment . I also appologise that this is my first post of the forum and im looking for help (a bit rude) .

anyway

My micra runs great untill it gets warm (about half way up tem gauge) then it starts revving very high then dipping down low , then back upto high again ...

I have read threads on here with people experiencing similar problems however I have no engine management lights on , car starts and runs fine otherwise , no black smoke . I`m really just wondering if anyone would tell me whats best to change that might sort out my issue .

The coilpack k11,s tend to have maf problems mark, you could try disconnecting it for a while

Cheers mate would this be worthwhile doing before looking into the throttle body and afm ?

Yours is the later bosch throttle body mate, with the removable afm/maf

Ye that's right I had a quick look on eBay and see the afm is removable and can be bought pretty cheap . Would this be worthwhile changing ? Sorry for the questions ,
