How much!? Door not opening.

Dear God. Just had to have a new drivers door lock assembly replaced as my door had stopped opening from the inside for a week. Total cost - £200!!! Was thinking it might cost £50. Is this about normal?

My car will also be due a timing belt change at it's next service. How much do you reckon this will set me back and will anything else need doing like water pump or any other belts?

Any help or info much appreciated. A cheap but good garage recommendation would also be good (I'm in the Durham area).

£200 dont get the chain done by the same person that done your door,they probley charge ya £20,000

Micra don't have timing belts so that's one expense off the list . Did you mean the ancillaries belt?

Yeah it is, so I'm pretty sure it needs the belt. To be fair the garage I use has been pretty good in the past for both mine and my wifes K12 1.0E micra. Apart from this problem my car has been good (perfect) for a solid 61k miles (apart from tyres and a set of pads) with me driving it quite hard.

Kinda starting to wish I'd bought a petrol now though with this expensive service coming up.
